Come celebrate 32 years of amazing music at the Blind Willie McTell Music Festival!

Get ready for an unforgettable day of music in Thomson, Georgia! Grammy-winning rock legends Los Lobos will headline the 32nd Annual Blind Willie McTell Music Festival on September 12, 2026, bringing their iconic blend of rock, blues, Tex-Mex, and Americana to McDuffie County.

This year’s lineup is packed with incredible talent from across the roots music spectrum, including Mike Mattison and Trash Magic, The Sam Grisman Project, Geno Delafose and the French Rockin’ Boogie, Andy Leftwich and the Aces, and The Macon Music Revue.

The celebration kicks off Friday, September 11, with a free downtown concert in Historic Thomson featuring Blair Crimmins and The Hookers.

We’ve been working hard to bring another incredible weekend of live music, community, and unforgettable memories to rural Georgia!

  1. How do I get there?

    The address is 965 Stagecoach Rd NE Thomson, GA 30824. Don’t worry- there will be signs! –From Atlanta-Take exit 172 on I-20 East. Take a left off of the exit ramp then turn right onto Stagecoach Rd. –From Augusta- Take exit 172 on I-20 west. Take a right off of the exit ramp then a right onto St

  2. What time do the festival gates open?

    Gates open at 11:00 am, first artist begins at noon.

  3. What can I bring?

    Chairs and blankets are allowed and highly encouraged. 10x10 canopy tents are also allowed in the designated tent area. No coolers, firearms, or weapons of any kind allowed on site. Large bags and backpacks are also not allowed.

  4. I’m thirsty! Can I bring a cooler and libations?

    Outside food and drink is not permitted. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available on site. We will also feature great food from local vendors.

  5. Is there an ATM on site?

    There is no ATM on site however most vendors accept card payment. Never hurts to have a little cash on hand though.

  6. How many people bring children? Would you say this event is kid friendly?

    This is a very kid friendly event! Lots of southern hospitality and friendly folks! Please note there is not a designated play area for children.

  7. What’s the parking situation?

    Free onsite parking is available adjacent to festival site but outside of the ticketing gate. You will be allowed to leave and return up to 3 times.

  8. I bought tickets and now I can't attend. Can I get a refund?

    I'm sorry, we can not give refunds for this event. You can sell your tickets to someone else.
