The Day Party is about music, joy, connection, and a warm Dads of Love welcome. So it just feels right to throw a special Friday edition of the Dads of Love Day Party to welcome you to your Chicago Weekend.

Dads of Love resident DJ Derek headlines, with DJ Julian Jay dropping the First Beats at 2PM. Together they’ll soundtrack your afternoon with uplifting house, disco remixes, lyrical sing-along moments, and deep tech-house grooves. Be there for the First Beats.

Just a 10-minute walk from Boystown, our iconic retractable glass roof opens to the sky, filling the dance floor with sunshine and fresh air.

Specialty cocktails, flatbreads, sliders, and tenders are available for purchase to keep you fueled.

Complimentary signature Dads of Love Polaroids come home with you.

C’mon and bask in the sunshine and warm vibes. Dad hugs included.

  1. What’s the vibe?

    The Day Party is hosted by "dads", for everyone. Easy, fun, and welcoming. We hold space on Sunday afternoons for inclusiveness, self-expression, joy. The vibe feels like a friend’s house party with great sound - disco, house, and melodic techno - dancing and easy conversation. Dad hugs included.

  2. Can I reserve a table?

    Yes! Tables are available by advance reservation. They come with seating for 6, your group's personalized reserved signage and hostess service - serving specialty cocktails, snacks and the full drinks and food menus. Check the ticket section for current availability.

  3. Will there be drinks and food?

    Yes! Rizzo's bar is fully stocked with cocktails, beer, THC and non-alcoholic options for purchase. You can order from Rizzo's menu as well. Try their famous flatbreads, sliders and tenders. https://www.rizzosbarandinn.com/menu#menu=food

  4. What should I wear?

  5. Where is the party entrance?

    The party is at Rizzo's Bar and Inn - Wrigleyville. Across from Wrigley Field. Look for the entrance at 3658 N. Clark Street and our friendly check-in team. The venue is just South of W. Waveland Avenue. A 10-minute walk from the heart of Boystown.

  6. What about the weather, Dads?

    In cold months, we keep the rooftop closed and the dance floor warm and cozy. Warm months, we love an open rooftop, and the sun loves us right back. Bring sunscreen (or use ours — we’ve got some for you).

  7. What happens if it rains or snows?

    Come! We've got you covered - literally. Rizzo's glass greenhouse-style rooftop opens fully, partially or can be closed to keep things cozy. The show goes on rain or shine. Don't miss it!

  8. What time should I arrive?

    Dad pro tip: arrive at 2 PM get a lay of the land and enjoy the unfolding of the vibe—sunshine, cocktails and our DJ's full 6-hour story - from the start. Have a table reservation? Come early and settle in with drinks and a snack.

  9. Is there parking nearby?

    Yes, Wrigley Parking is right next door. The venue is on Clark Street just South of W. Waveland Avenue.
