Events Info

Event lasts 1 hour

Free venue parkingThis is a one hour FAMILY Football Session, held on the 3G football pitch at John O Gaunt School, Priory Road in Hungerford.

This activity is for children with additional needs who are aged 5 years to 18 years to attend with their parent/carer.

This is a fun and active session where the aim is to enjoy ourselves and have the opportunity to join in with some football fun to burn off their excess physical energy!

The football session is for children and young people to have fun (not be the best at football). We will have a kick about, show you some football tricks you might like to try, have a go at some little skills and maybe have a mini game to finish. We will be led by what the children/young people would like to do most when we're there.

For this session parents/carers must remain with their child and we would LOVE you to join in too!

This is a chance to have a bit of fun together this summer and meet some of our staff.

**Please ensure both children and adults bring plenty of bottled water to drink**

Parents/carers MUST stay with their child at all times.

Children and young people with ANY additional need are welcome at this activity and siblings are welcome to book too. Children do not need any diagnosis to participate in our activities.

Please purchase ONE valid ticket PER CHILD and also select an ADULT ticket (free) so that we have the details of each person who will be attending.

You do not need to bring printed copies of your ticket(s).

ASD Family Help staff will be on hand to help welcome you all and host the session.

Please contact rachael@asdfamilyhelp.org if you have any questions at all.

FAQs

  1. Do parents/carers need to attend?

YES! Parents are responsible for children and must remain with their child at all times. Please DO get involved as your kids love it!

  2. What are the main health & safety rules?

We use a variety of equipment and we ask that you support your child when using items and joining in. If any child or adult has a medical condition please let us know in advance (asthma, heart condition, pregnancy etc).

  3. What is the dress code?

Active Wear - Please wear clothing & footwear that is appropriate for a sporting/active event. Avoid wearing clothing with zips, buttons, poppers & belts. Jogging bottoms and t-shirts are perfect along with trainers. We are on an Astro Pitch so normal trainers are best!

  4. What if me & my child haven't been to a sports activity with you before?

We will be happy to answer any other questions over email. On the day we'll take time to introduce the staff & explain the session. This activity is just for fun - there's no pressure to join in if children aren't yet comfortable. There will be a 'quiet area' set aside if children need it.

  5. What do I need to bring with me?

Plenty of positive energy and lots of bottle of water! This session can be thirsty work!
