First Light is a New Year’s Day sound meditation and cacao ceremony offered by Luna Maye and Rise + Ritual. This gathering invites you to arrive gently, tune inward, and step into 2026 with clarity, intention, and renewed presence.

This experience honors the movement from the Year of the Snake into the Year of the Horse. The Snake asked you to shed what could not come with you. The Horse asks you to move with what is truly yours. Together, these energies create a threshold moment: the quiet before direction, the breath before motion.

Through guided breathwork, intentional sipping of cacao, and a deeply immersive sound meditation, you will be supported in reconnecting with your body, grounding your system, and listening for the subtle truths that want to guide you into the new year.

A yoga mat

A blanket or layers for warmth

ACCESS + NOTES

Guests should feel comfortable resting in mindful quiet, either lying down or in a supported seated position.

ADA seating accommodations for the experience are available upon request; however, access to the building requires ascending two flights of church stairs.

Not recommended for first trimester pregnancy or those with extreme sound sensitivities.

Cacao participation is optional.

No prior experience with sound meditation or cacao is necessary.

Tickets are final sale and not transferrable.
