Bio:
With a diverse musical background and a penchant for writing in the third-person, Jude Fleischman is an eclectic and eccentric voice as a singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Brooklyn, NY. As a songwriter, he draws on both his extensive jazz background as well as rock, country, and folk elements from artists and bands like Jimmy Buffett, Jim Croce, Bonnie Raitt, The Beatles, and Fountains of Wayne. Freely combining all his influences, he has a unique, narrative style of songwriting that prioritizes clever story-telling and bold, unexpected musical choices.
Jude was born in Madison, WI at a very young age. From the beginning, he was involved in music, theater, writing, and other artistic endeavours. In 2020, he began his collegiate jazz studies at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI, performing with numerous school ensembles and studying with Professor Keith Hall, as well as performing as a solo artist and as a singer/songwriter and guitarist for his band, The Situation. At the same time, he established himself as a gigging drummer in the Kalamazoo area, where he performed with innumerable local artists (notably Shai-Li, Headband Henny, Micah Dailey-White, among many others) and theatrical productions over the years. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western Michigan University in 2024, earning an undergraduate degree in Jazz Drumset. Over the last two years, Jude wrote and recorded his debut album as a solo artist, titled On The Lam!. He has released four singles from the album and is planning to release the full project soon.
