Mike Seal | Jazz Guitar Masterclass

Join us on June 15th from 2-4 PM for a special one-day masterclass with renowned guitarist Mike Seal. Topics covered will include functional music theory, ear training and development, and technique building.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their guitars to the masterclass!

About the instructor:

Mike Seal is a twice grammy-nominated guitarist based in Nashville, TN. Originally from Bridgewater, Virginia, he's recorded on dozens of albums and performed with many top tier bands and artists over the last twenty years, touring all over the world and playing music that spans many genres.

You can hear Mike's work with The Jerry Douglas Band, John Hiatt, Viktor Krauss Group, Sierra Hull, Bob Lanzetti, Jeff Sipe Trio, Sarah Siskind, The Jeff Coffin Mu-tet, Ike Stubblefield, Yonrico Scott, Larkin Poe, Keith L Brown, and many others.

Mike has performed and recorded on numerous projects as a guitarist, pianist, arranger and composer. Jerry Douglas's latest album, "The Set", features his guitar work and composition work.

Mike released a solo acoustic EP in 2018 titled "Dogwoods" and has recently completed a new record with a full band that is anticipated for release in 2025.

Aside from his work as a touring/session musician, Mike has been hired as an instructor at Tommy Emmanuel's legendary guitar camps, both in Memphis and Nashville. Mike has also conducted master classes at universities and academic institutions across the country alongside some of the world's premier instrumentalists.
