A Precious Organization

A Precious Organization is a nonprofit community advocacy group dedicated to raising awareness about sickle cell disease and supporting individuals and families affected by this genetic condition. Founded by Tammy Smith‑Williams after her daughter, Precious Lee, was diagnosed with sickle cell disease, the organization mobilizes community outreach, education, fundraising walks, support groups, and blood drives to improve understanding of the disease, provide moral and practical support, and advocate for healthcare improvements. The group’s annual Walk for Sickle Cell and other community events aim to bring people together, attract sponsors, and generate funds to assist with medical needs and spread awareness statewide.
