Arts and Architecture Conservancy at Saint Peter's

Arts and Architecture Conservancy at Saint Peter's is a nonprofit cultural-organization based in Midtown Manhattan associated with Saint Peter's Church (at 619 Lexington Avenue / near 54th Street). The Conservancy operates the church’s public arts program, hosting classical, jazz, dance, theatre and visual-arts events in its theater, gallery spaces, community hall, and plaza. It continues a history of arts outreach dating back to the 1970s, offering free or low-cost performances and exhibitions to make modernist art, architecture and community culture accessible to all New Yorkers. The Conservancy also stewards the building’s modernist design and works to preserve and restore key architectural and artistic features — including its modernist sanctuary and the renowned Nevelson Chapel sculptural environment — while programming gallery shows, concerts, and community-oriented arts initiatives.
