George Murphy is an Irish singer-songwriter from Beaumont, Dublin who rose to prominence through the television show You’re a Star, achieving a No. 1 debut album and triple-platinum status in Ireland. He evolved from traditional folk to indie rock-influenced songwriting, and moved to the U.S. in pursuit of broader creative opportunities. Over time, he founded a band called The Rising Sons and continues to develop his sound and live presence.
