Akron Woman’s City Club is a venerable social, cultural, and philanthropic institution founded in 1923. For nearly a century, it has provided a space for women in Akron to gather for education, civic engagement, charitable work, social events, and community building. Since 1946, its home has been a historic mansion originally built in 1901 (known as “Grey Lodge”). The mansion is elegantly preserved — featuring classic architectural and interior details like a grand staircase, leaded‑glass windows, ornate ceilings, walnut/parquet floors, antique‑style dining and ballroom rooms, and period‑appropriate decor — giving it a stately, old‑world charm.
