Prototype PGH is a nonprofit maker-space and community innovation hub focused on creativity, equity, and access to tools and training. Their Sharpsburg location at 606 Main Street serves as one of their main workspaces, offering artisans, entrepreneurs, makers, and community members access to a wide variety of equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC vinyl cutters, sewing machines, screen-printing gear, and other workshop tools. Prototype PGH offers co-working space, project-work access, workshops (e.g. design, manufacturing, craft, digital fabrication), and community-oriented training programs all with a mission rooted in inclusion, support for marginalized communities (especially women, marginalized genders, and low-income individuals), and encouragement of creative experimentation.
