The The STAR Centre of Havre de Grace (STAR = Sports, Theatre, Arts & Recreation) is a multi-purpose performance and community center that serves as a regional hub for arts, entertainment, sports, theatre, and community events. The facility was converted from a former high-school auditorium/gym into a full-service cultural complex: it features a 900 + seat theatre/auditorium, gymnasiums, and a dozen multipurpose rooms. The STAR hosts concerts, plays, variety shows, festivals, educational events, trade-shows, community gatherings, and can also be rented for private events — aiming to offer a broad mix of programming for all age groups, from children’s workshops to major concerts and seasonal festivals.
